Evokative on the web

I was also recently asked by Toronto J-Film Pow-wow’s founder Chris MaGee to write a little piece for his continuing “What film got you hooked?” serie of features, back in September.

Evokative now has a Youtube channel

A few friends asked me to create a Youtube channel, which might make it easier to share the trailers and see them in environments where Facebook is blocked (boo).

LE TUEUR en nomination aux prix Louis-Delluc du cinéma français

J’ai été très heureuse d’apprendre que LE TUEUR, qui prendra l’affiche ce vendredi à Montréal, vient d’être nominé pour le Prix Louis-Delluc du premier film!

Créé en 1937 et surnommé le “Goncourt du cinéma”, le prix Louis-Delluc récompense le meilleur film français de l’année. Il doit son nom à Louis Delluc, cinéaste et écrivain. Depuis 1999, un prix est également remis au meilleur premier film français de l’année. Outre LE TUEUR de Cédric Anger, les deux autres films en compétition pour le Prix Louis-Delluc du premier film sont ELLE S’APPELLE SABINE de Sandrine Bonnaire et VERSAILLES de Pierre Schoeller. LE TUEUR s’était précédemment distingué lorsqu’il avait fait partie des 10 choix de la critique de Variety au dernier Festival international de films de Karlovy Vary.

LE TUEUR fera partie de la programmation des cinémas Ex-Centris en version originale française et AMC Forum en version originale française avec sous-titres anglais, dès ce vendredi 14 novembre 2008.

The Evokative Launch Party!

The Evokative Launch Party occured just a few days ago to celebrate the theatrical release of THE KILLER (LE TUEUR).

We’d like to thank the Produkt team, Francis Théberge from TIND, Steve Villeneuve and Hugo Bissonette from Coop Video, the DJs Poontz and Melon, St-Ambroise and GURU Energy Drink, as well as everyboy that came to party, for making this night memorable.

ADRIFT IN TOKYO and HANSEL AND GRETEL at the Toronto Reel Asian Films Festival!

ADRIFT IN TOKYO will have its Toronto Premiere at the Toronto Reel Asian Film Festival on Nov. 16th, where it will have the honour of being the fest’s closing film!
