Leading a lazy life, Fumiya has been a university student for 8 years and owes money to loan sharks. One day, a man named Fukuhara comes to collect the loan, which Fumiya cannot pay. So Fukuhara makes a proposition: He will cancel the debt as long as Fumiya agrees to walk with him across Tokyo to the police station of Kasumigaseki, where he intends to turn himself in for a crime he deeply regrets. Not having much choice, Fumiya accepts the deal. Thus begins their journey which will lead them to various unusual encounters, most of all with themselves. Fumiya, un étudiant criblé de dettes, reçoit la visite du menaçant collecteur de dettes Fukuhara, qui lui remet un ultimatum. Black, a Senegalese bank-robber born and raised in France, is getting over a disastrous heist in which he lost nearly all of his men. He’s seriously thinking of going straight when his cousin Lamine calls him from Dakar: a briefcase full of contraband diamonds has just been deposited in the bank where he works. Black, un braqueur d'origine sénégalaise ayant toujours vécu en France, vient de subir un échec cuisant avec son dernier coup sur lequel il a perdu tous ses hommes. Il songe sérieusement à se reconvertir quand son cousin Lamine l'appelle de Dakar : une mallette qui contient un bon poids de diamants de contrebande a été déposée à la banque où il travaille. C’est un coup qui devrait être facile, super facile même, pensent-ils. Ni une ni deux, Black monte une équipe et vole vers l'Afrique, où il met les pieds pour la première fois. Mais ce qu’ils n’ont pas calculé, c’est que plusieurs autres sont aussi sur la trace de ces diamants, dont le directeur véreux de la banque, un trafiquant d'armes atteint d'un psoriasis purulent, une bande de mercenaires tchétchènes et une agente d’Interpol. Après un accident d’auto sur une route isolée, Eun-soo rencontre une jeune fille qui le mène à une charmante maison au milieu de la forêt, où il est accueilli par une famille exemplaire composée de deux parents et de trois enfants. Shin is a Japanese university student living a boring and meaningless life. Ennuyante et dénuée de sens, la vie de Shin, un étudiant japonais, change le jour où il repère un livre: Les Manières dangereuses de parcourir le monde, dans lequel il trouve une page évoquant les ‘‘hasards’’ de New York. Avide d’aventure, il part vers New York afin de trouver cette inspiration. Il découvre rapidement les risques de la ville lors d’une agression qui le laisse sans argent ni vêtements. Fortuitement, il rencontre Lee et Takeda, deux punks japonais-américains, qui le prennent sous leur aile. Au cours d’une soirée bien arrosée entre amis, un jeune homme au cœur brisé se fait imposer une escapade à la campagne. Gang-pae is a mobster who dreams of becoming an actor. Soo-ta is a star actor who tends to have a bit of a bad attitude, especially with his co-stars, who keep getting beaten up on the set. Now nobody wants to work with him and it's threatening his current film's production. A chance encounter brings the two together and Soo-ta convinces Gang-pae to come and play the role of, well, a mobster. Gang-pae agrees with the condition that the film's fight scenes have to be real, no pretend bullshit. Lars and Johannes are brothers with very little in common. Lars et Johannes sont deux frères avec peu de choses en commun. Johannes est un avocat, marié à une belle femme avec qui il a deux enfants; Lars est un chauffeur de camion, une brute alcoolique qui bat sa copine. Gunther Strobbe is a 13 years old boy who lives in his grandmother's house in a small Belgian town with his alcoholic father and three uncles. Life in the household is clearly dysfunctional, yet it's hard to condemn the Strobbes. Their hearts are in the right place – it's just that they can't seem to help turning everything around them into an unmitigated disaster. The Strobbes enter drinking contests, ride bicycles naked, teach vulgar songs to little girls and end up in hospital, then head right back to the bar the next day. Gunther is an observer in this broken home that reeks of cigarette smoke, spilled beer and sweat-stained clothes. He participates in his drunken uncles' shenanigans only to fit in, hiding his true passion for writing. Gunther Strobbe est un garçon de 13 ans qui vit dans la maison de sa grand-mère, située dans une petite ville de Belgique, avec son père et ses trois oncles, tous alcooliques. Cette famille est clairement dysfonctionnelle, mais on peut difficilement condamner les hommes du clan Strobbe. Ils ont le cœur à la bonne place, mais ont une propension irrémédiable au désastre. Les Strobbe participent à des concours de beuverie, font du vélo à poil, enseignent des chansons grivoises aux fillettes et retourneront au bar le lendemain, même si la soirée se termine à l’hôpital. Gunther observe ce qui se passe dans ce ménage pourri aux odeurs de tabac froid, de bière renversée et de vêtements imprégnés de sueur. Il ne participe aux combines familiales que pour s’intégrer au groupe, cachant sa passion profonde pour l’écriture.
